Quickstart
From signup to your first AI reply on WhatsApp — in about 15 minutes.
What you'll need
- A Meta WhatsApp Business Account (we walk you through setup if you don't have one)
- A phone number that is not currently active on consumer WhatsApp (or you can migrate)
- A few documents about your business — FAQ, product list, SOPs (PDF, DOCX, or TXT)
1. Create your AgentShift account
Sign up at agentshift.in/register. You'll get a 14-day free trial with 200 AI conversations — no credit card required.
2. Connect WhatsApp
From your dashboard, open Settings → WhatsApp Connection and follow the embedded Meta sign-in flow. AgentShift handles the technical configuration — webhook URL, verification, phone number registration — automatically.

3. Pick your business category
AgentShift ships with 25+ pre-tuned categories — Restaurant, Salon, Clinic, D2C Retail, Hotel, Coaching, and more. Each one comes with default AI behavior, message templates, and dashboard layout suited to that vertical.
Pick the closest match. You can fine-tune everything later.
4. Train the AI
Go to Knowledge Base and upload your business documents. The AI uses semantic search (RAG) to ground every reply in your actual content — never generic answers.
- Supported: PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown
- Recommended starter set: business FAQ, return/refund policy, top-20 product details, opening hours
- You can also paste content directly — no file required
5. Test before going live
From the dashboard, click Test Message on any branch. Send a few real questions — try Hindi, English, and a voice note. Check that the AI sounds like your business and pulls accurate facts from your knowledge base.
6. Go live
Toggle the AI On for the branch. From this moment, every WhatsApp message to your business number is handled by the AI. Your team gets a notification only when escalation is needed (frustration detected, explicit human request, or out-of-scope query).
